Use of Cookies
Last updated: February 9, 2026
This Use of Cookies policy explains how Sugie ("we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies when you visit or use Sugie.fun ("the Platform"). It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and process your personal data.
By continuing to use the Platform, you consent to our use of cookies as described in this policy. You can manage your cookie preferences at any time using the controls described in Section 5.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, phone, or tablet) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently, provide a better user experience, and give site operators useful information.
We also use similar technologies such as local storage, session storage, and pixel tags (also known as web beacons or clear GIFs). When we refer to "cookies" in this policy, we include these similar technologies unless otherwise stated.
2. Types of Cookies We Use
2.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential for the Platform to function. Without them, core features like logging in, navigating between pages, and accessing secure areas would not work. These cookies cannot be disabled.
- Authentication: Session tokens that keep you signed in and verify your identity across page loads.
- Security: CSRF tokens and other security cookies that protect against cross-site request forgery and unauthorized access.
- Wallet Connection: Tokens that maintain your Solana wallet connection state during a session.
- Cookie Consent: A cookie that records your cookie preferences so we can respect your choices on subsequent visits.
2.2 Functional Cookies
These cookies enable enhanced functionality and personalization. They may be set by us or by third-party providers whose services we use. If you disable these cookies, some features may not work as intended.
- Preferences: Cookies that remember your settings, such as language, display preferences, and privacy controls (e.g., online status visibility).
- Real-Time Messaging: Cookies and local storage used by our messaging provider (Ably) to maintain persistent connections and deliver messages in real time.
- Media Playback: Cookies that remember your media settings and playback state.
2.3 Analytics Cookies
These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with the Platform by collecting and reporting information anonymously. This data allows us to improve the Platform's performance, features, and user experience.
- Usage Analytics: Cookies that track pages visited, time spent on the Platform, navigation patterns, and feature usage.
- Performance Monitoring: Cookies that help us identify technical issues, measure page load times, and monitor error rates.
- A/B Testing: Cookies used to deliver different versions of features to different users so we can evaluate which version performs better.
2.4 Marketing Cookies
These cookies are used to deliver relevant advertisements and track the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns. We currently use minimal marketing cookies. If this changes, we will update this policy and request your consent before deploying them.
- Referral Tracking: Cookies that identify which external source or campaign directed you to the Platform.
- Conversion Tracking: Cookies that help us measure whether marketing campaigns lead to sign-ups or other desired actions.
3. Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies on the Platform are set by third-party services we integrate with. These providers have their own cookie and privacy policies. Key third-party services that may set cookies include:
- Vercel: Our hosting provider may set cookies related to performance optimization and edge caching.
- Ably: Our real-time messaging provider may use local storage and cookies to manage WebSocket connections.
- Google / Apple Sign-In: If you use social login, the respective authentication provider may set cookies during the sign-in flow.
- Wallet Service: The Magic server wallet service may store connection data in your browser's local storage.
We do not control the cookies set by third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy and cookie policies of these providers directly.
4. Cookie Duration
Cookies can last for different periods depending on their purpose:
- Session Cookies: These are temporary cookies that are deleted when you close your browser. They are used for things like maintaining your login state during a single browsing session.
- Persistent Cookies: These cookies remain on your device for a set period (or until you manually delete them). They are used for things like remembering your preferences and keeping you signed in across visits. Our persistent cookies typically expire within 30 days to 12 months, depending on their purpose.
5. Managing Your Cookie Preferences
You have several options for managing cookies:
5.1 Browser Settings
Most browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can typically:
- View and delete existing cookies.
- Block all cookies or only third-party cookies.
- Set your browser to notify you when a cookie is being set.
- Configure exceptions for specific websites.
Please note that blocking or deleting certain cookies may affect the functionality of the Platform. For example, if you block authentication cookies, you will not be able to sign in.
5.2 Opt-Out Links
You can opt out of certain analytics and advertising cookies using the following tools:
- Google Analytics: Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on
- Digital Advertising Alliance: DAA Opt-Out Page
- European Users: Your Online Choices (EU)
5.3 Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting. There is currently no industry standard for how websites should respond to DNT signals. At this time, the Platform does not respond to DNT signals, but we respect your cookie preferences as set through the controls described above.
6. Local Storage & Similar Technologies
In addition to cookies, the Platform uses browser local storage and session storage to store certain data on your device. These technologies function similarly to cookies but can store larger amounts of data and are not automatically sent to our servers with each request.
We use local storage for:
- Wallet State: Maintaining your Solana wallet connection details and public address between sessions.
- UI Preferences: Storing interface preferences such as dismissed tooltips, onboarding progress, and filter selections.
- Messaging: Caching message drafts and real-time connection tokens.
- Performance: Caching certain data locally to reduce load times and minimize network requests.
You can clear local storage through your browser's developer tools or by clearing all site data in your browser settings.
7. Blockchain Interactions
When you interact with the Platform's on-chain features (such as the on-chain arrangement system), the wallet service may use its own storage mechanisms to manage connection state, transaction history, and wallet preferences. These are managed by the wallet provider, not by Sugie.
Blockchain transactions themselves do not involve cookies. However, we may use cookies and local storage to associate your on-chain wallet address with your Sugie account for the purpose of displaying transaction history and arrangement status within the Platform.
8. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Use of Cookies policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use, the technologies we deploy, or applicable legal requirements. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised.
If we make material changes to how we use cookies — for example, introducing new marketing or advertising cookies — we will notify you via an in-app notice and request your consent where required by law.
